Sunday School

What is Sunday School?

As the name suggests, this is an educational time for middle school students that takes place on Sundays. Don't worry! Unlike school, you don't get homework, you don't have to take any tests, and you don't end up with a teacher you can't stand (hopefully). :-) We spend our time learning about God in ways that actually mean something to teenagers. So put aside any preconceived notions about Sunday School and give it a try.

When is Sunday School?

The Middle School Sunday School class is held every Sunday morning at 10:15 am starting in the Youth Room for breakfast and moving to the Library around 10:45 for class. The class is currently taught by youth counselors Brian and Joy McCrady, Kate Falls, and Larry Gilbert.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you have a Bible in a version that you like - such as the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), New International Version (NIV), or Contemporary English Version (CEV) - please feel free to bring it with you. In the Youth Room, we have enough Bibles in the CEV for a lot of people. It is nice to have a few different versions of the Bible because each one lends itself to a little different angle on the meaning of different passages we read.

Other than that, just come with a heart for God and excitement to learn about Christian faith. If you have a friend you think would be interested in a relaxed, teen-related style of Bible study, invite them to join us on Sunday morning. We have a great group and always love to have more join us.
