Trip Resources
Information Sheets
- Eleuthera Mission Info - This document was presented at the initial meeting in March. It has been updated with the latest available information as of April 30, 2008.
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) - There were a lot of really good questions last year as we prepared for our trip, so we generated a FAQ document. This has been updated to answer most of the same questions for the Dec 2008 trip.
BMH Eleuthera Forms
You will NOT need to get them notarized as we will take care of that. You will need to make sure that the forms are COMPLETE, including parent signatures for any participating minors (those who have not yet attained the age of 18). Make sure you use BLUE or BLACK ink ONLY. The forms are not considered complete unless these conditions have been met. (These are the legal rules we have to follow.) These forms are in PDF format, so if you do not have the Adobe Reader, you will need to download it here.
- Accident Insurance Information
- Medical Liability Release
- Parental Consent
- Emergency Contact Information
- Mission Policy Agreement
- Power of Attorney
- Notification of Death
- OR download a Zip file of above forms
Safe Sanctuary Forms
All adults (participants age 18 and above, whether group leaders or not), must complete Safe Sanctuary forms.
Meetings
Meetings will be scheduled if/when the next trip is scheduled.
Fundraisers
Everyone is expected to fully participate in all team fundraisers. This trip is going to require a significant amount of fundraising due to the increased costs of airfare and the fact that we are traveling to a very popular region during peak season (The Bahamas in winter!!!).
- We are also looking at a couple of other fundraisers that we can do, including additional Coldstone events, and a sponsor tree in the Sanctuary styled after the giving tree. If you have any ideas, please let Lanie Stargel know at laniestargel@comcast.net.
- Individual team members should be sending out letters to family and friends requesting personal sponsors. Some people are comfortable doing this and some are not. It was by far our most successful fundraiser last year, raising over $6000. More details about this fundraiser will be provided in the future for those team members who would like to seek out personal sponsors. Here is a sample letter that was sent out last year.
